Programmes
Performance mindset, developed through experience.
The Catalyst Programme helps athletes, coaches and leaders understand how they respond when pressure is real, then carry that awareness back into the environments where performance actually happens.
Many people know what they want to do under pressure.
They know the behaviours they want to show.
They know the decisions they want to make.
They know the standards they want to hold.
The challenge is accessing that clarity when the moment becomes live.
The Catalyst Programme uses carefully chosen performance experiences to help individuals meet their own responses under pressure, develop greater self-awareness, and begin understanding how to work with those responses when pressure, uncertainty or consequence enters the system.
The full programme combines preparation, The Catalyst Experience, reflection, insight capture, structured reporting, integration priorities and an 8-week integration phase.
This is what allows the learning to move from a powerful experience into meaningful performance development.
Who The Catalyst Programme Is For
The Catalyst Programme is designed for people whose performance, decisions and communication are tested under pressure.
Whether you are an athlete, coach, support-team member or leader, the work begins with the same question:
What happens to you when the moment becomes real?
The programme is adapted across three pathways:
Athletes
You can have the level, the work ethic and the technical ability, but still lose access to it when the moment becomes real.
The Catalyst Athlete Programme is for athletes already performing at higher levels of their sport, and for athletes moving towards that level, who want to understand what changes inside them when pressure, expectation, emotion or consequence enters the moment.
This is not another mindset talk.
It is a structured performance experience that helps athletes meet what happens under pressure, develop greater self-awareness, and begin learning how to respond with more clarity, regulation and intent.
It is designed for athletes working through:
training-to-competition transfer
pressure and expectation
return from injury
confidence and self-trust
emotional regulation
decision-making under pressure
control, tension and overthinking
performance consistency
wanting to gain valuable insight into how they respond when pressure becomes real
What The Catalyst Athlete Programme includes
The athlete pathway is shaped around the individual, their sport and their current performance environment.
It usually includes:
preparation conversations with the athlete, coach and relevant support team
The Catalyst Experience
reflection and insight capture
a structured performance report
clear integration priorities
support-team alignment where appropriate
an 8-week integration phase shaped around the athlete’s training, competition and performance calendar
agreed contact points around key moments where the learning needs to transfer
practical guidance to help the athlete and support team apply the learning inside the existing performance environment
sport psychology input where appropriate
If the athlete already works with a sport psychologist, The Catalyst Programme can sit alongside that existing support structure. If the athlete does not currently have sport psychology support, this can be discussed as part of the programme.
The integration phase is designed to work inside the athlete’s existing performance environment.
This may include return to training, competition preparation, return from injury, key training blocks, higher-pressure sessions, technical progression, competition itself, or other moments where the athlete’s response is likely to be tested.
The aim is not to create a separate system around the athlete.
The aim is to help the athlete, coach and support team understand what showed up under pressure, then use that awareness to support the athlete’s development inside the environment where performance actually happens.
Coaches
Athletes do not perform in isolation.
The environment around them matters.
The Catalyst Coach Development Programme is for coaches, support staff and performance teams who want to better understand how their own communication, decisions, emotional state and pressure responses shape the environment around the athlete.
This is not about giving coaches another theory of performance.
It is about helping coaches experience, recognise and reflect on how they operate when pressure, expectation, uncertainty or emotion enters the environment.
Coaches influence performance through what they say, when they say it, how they respond, how they challenge, how they support, and how they manage themselves in moments that matter.
The programme is designed for coaches working through:
communication under pressure
emotional regulation around athletes
decision-making in training and competition
when to step in and when to hold back
supporting without rescuing
challenging without over-pushing
giving feedback at the right time
managing expectation and consequence
reading the athlete and the environment more clearly
carrying pressure, frustration or personal stress into sessions
helping athletes transfer learning back into training and competition
creating environments where athletes can develop awareness, ownership and performance stability
What The Catalyst Coach Development Programme includes
The coach pathway is shaped around the coach, their role and their performance environment.
It usually includes:
preparation conversation with the coach or support team
optional athlete or programme-context conversation
The Catalyst Experience or an adapted coach experience
reflection and insight capture
review of communication, pressure responses and environment impact
clear integration priorities
an 8-week integration phase shaped around the coach’s real coaching environment
agreed contact points around key coaching, communication or performance moments
practical guidance around applying the learning back into coaching and performance settings
optional sport psychology consultation where relevant
The integration phase is designed to help the coach apply the learning inside their real environment.
This may include training sessions, competition preparation, competition itself, athlete conversations, support-team meetings, debriefs, setbacks, difficult conversations or periods of pressure.
The aim is not to replace the coach’s existing methods.
The aim is to help the coach understand how they affect the environment around them, so they can respond with greater awareness, clarity and intent when it matters.
This strengthens the coach’s ability to support athletes through pressure while also improving the wider performance environment.
Coach Experience Day
A Coach Experience Day may also be available as a lighter introduction to The Catalyst Programme.
This is designed for coaches who want to experience the nature of the work and understand how pressure, communication, emotional state and environment can influence performance.
The Coach Experience Day does not include the full depth of The Catalyst Coach Development Programme or the same level of integration support.
Availability depends on location, timing and suitability of the environment.

Executives and Leaders
Leadership is tested most clearly when pressure, uncertainty and responsibility increase.
The Catalyst Executive & Leadership Programme is for founders, executives, senior leaders and leadership teams who want to better understand how they respond when the demands around them become real.
This is not another leadership framework.
It is a structured performance experience that helps leaders recognise how they operate under pressure, how their internal state affects their decisions, and how their responses shape the people and environment around them.
Leaders often carry responsibility for direction, communication, standards, conflict, trust and decision-making. In high-pressure moments, the way a leader responds can either create clarity or increase tension.
The programme is designed for leaders working through:
decision-making under pressure
communication in difficult or uncertain moments
emotional regulation in high-stakes environments
carrying responsibility without passing pressure into the team
maintaining clarity when situations become complex
recognising control, avoidance or over-functioning patterns
responding rather than reacting
managing conflict, tension or difficult conversations
leading through change, setback or uncertainty
holding standards without creating unnecessary fear or pressure
understanding how their state affects the room
creating conditions where people can think, communicate and perform more clearly
What The Catalyst Executive & Leadership Programme includes
The leadership pathway is shaped around the individual, team or organisation.
It usually includes:
preparation conversation with the leader or leadership team
context review around current pressures, responsibilities and decision-making demands
The Catalyst Experience or an adapted leadership experience
reflection and insight capture
review of pressure responses, communication and leadership impact
clear integration priorities
an 8-week integration phase shaped around the leader’s real environment
agreed contact points around key leadership, communication or decision-making moments
practical guidance around applying the learning inside the existing leadership environment
optional performance psychology input where relevant
The integration phase is designed to help the leader apply the learning inside their real environment.
This may include high-pressure meetings, difficult conversations, decision points, team tension, organisational change, conflict, responsibility, uncertainty or periods of increased demand.
The aim is not to replace the leader’s existing style.
The aim is to help the leader understand how they respond under pressure and how that response affects the people, decisions and environment around them.
This strengthens the leader’s ability to hold responsibility, communicate clearly, make better decisions under pressure, and create environments where people can operate with more trust, stability and clarity.

Find The Right Pathway
Every Catalyst Programme is shaped around the individual, group or organisation.
The starting point is always the same: understanding the person, the environment they are operating in, and the pressure moments they are trying to work through.
From there, the programme can be adapted for athletes, coaches, support teams or leaders, with the right level of preparation, experience, reflection, reporting and integration support.
The structure is clear.
The process is individual.
If you are unsure which pathway is most relevant, or whether The Catalyst Programme is the right fit for your environment, the best next step is an initial conversation.
